RPMI-1640 with 2mM L-Glutamine, 1mM sodium pyruvate, 4.5gms per litre glucose and 10mM HEPES buffer. It does not contain phenol red and sodium bicarbonate. The medium is designed to support growth of both human normal and neoplastic cells in vitro along with wide range of anchorage dependant cells.
