RPMI-1640 with L-glutamine, phenol red, 2gms per litre glucose, 0.165M per litre MOPS buffer. It is without sodium bicarbonate. The medium is designed to support growth of both human normal and neoplastic cells in vitro along with wide range of anchorage dependant cells.
