The EZcountTM WST-8 Cell Assay kit is ready to use one solution designed for determination of cell viability, cell proliferation and cytotoxicity. This kit is based on the quantitative measurement of extracellular reduction of the highly water soluble tetrazolium dye WST-8 [2-(2-methoxy-4-nitrophenyl)-3-(4 - nitrophenyl)-5-(2, 4 disulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium monosodium salt] to a water-soluble colored formazan product by metabolically active cells.
