IL-4 human rec.
IL4 is a pleiotropic cytokine produced by activated T cells, Th2 cells as well as mast cells. IL-4 is a Cytokine and Growth factor. IL4 is a ligand for interleukin 4 receptor.
His main function is the t-cell communication and leads there to various proliferation and differentiation. By his inhibitory effect on the function of macrophages, it belongs to anti-inflammatory cytokines.
